This species was named after me following its discovery during my deep-water lobster operations aboard the F\/V AVA PILAR, where I collected and donated specimens that were used in the scientific description.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis specimen was personally collected by me in a baited lobster trap from 240–300 feet on the Tortuga Terrace. It displays the characteristic stocky profile, elaborate frondose varices, and bright orange protoconch that make this species so distinctive.
