A beautiful deep-water specimen of Calliostoma scalenum, personally collected from Pulley Ridge in the eastern Gulf of Mexico. This species is highly sought after for its sharply conical profile, intricate beaded sculpture, and rich golden coloration.
This specimen displays excellent color with bright golden-orange tones highlighted by darker spiral bands. The elevated spire is intact and well formed, while the numerous beaded spiral cords create a striking textured appearance across the entire shell. The base exhibits the characteristic tightly packed spiral sculpture typical of this species.
