Fasciolaria bittneri Petuch & Berschauer, 2023 – 116.1 mm

A beautiful and colorful specimen of Fasciolaria bittneri, personally collected from the Dry Tortugas, Florida. This specimen displays an attractive cream-colored base overlaid with vivid orange to reddish-orange axial flames and blotches, along with excellent overall pattern contrast. The aperture is clean and glossy with a pleasing peach to pale apricot interior, making this an eye-catching addition to any serious Fasciolariidae collection.

Collected by baited lobster trap, this specimen retains its natural character and fresh appearance. The elongated siphonal canal and elevated spire are well formed, and the shell presents very nicely from all viewing angles.
