Outstanding large Fasciolaria riverai showing rich reddish-brown coloration, strong cream patterning, an elongated profile, and excellent overall collector appeal.
This is a recently described species, Petuch & Berschauer, 2026, and one that was named in my honor. I personally collected this live-taken topotype specimen from deep water in the Dry Tortugas aboard the F/V AVA PILAR.
At 222.5 mm, this is an impressive specimen and retains its original operculum.
