This beautiful Fasciolaria tulipa was personally collected by me while commercial lobster fishing in the Dry Tortugas, Florida. Recovered from a baited lobster trap set in 180–200 feet, this specimen displays outstanding natural coloration with a rich tan and cream checkerboard pattern, excellent gloss, and a matching operculum. The shell has a well-proportioned profile, strong spire, smooth aperture, and excellent overall eye appeal, making it a fine addition to any serious collection.

This is a very attractive collector specimen with excellent natural color, strong gloss, and a matching operculum. The protoconch, siphonal canal, outer lip, and aperture are all well preserved. Only light signs of deep-water trap wear are present, consistent with normal commercial collection, and they do not detract from the specimen’s excellent display quality. Overall, this shell presents beautifully and is an excellent representative of the species.
