Beautiful large Fasciolaria tulipa displaying brilliant orange and creamy white coloration with bold natural banding and attractive spiral sculpture. This impressive specimen measures 190.50 mm (7.50 inches) and features a nicely developed pointed spire, a full body whorl, and an elegant, wide aperture with soft peach and pinkish tones.
The strong orange coloration, attractive pattern, and overall shell structure make this a wonderful display specimen for any serious marine shell collection.
Personally collected by me during legal commercial lobster fishing operations aboard the F/V AVA PILAR in the deep waters surrounding the Dry Tortugas, Florida, using a baited lobster trap at depths of 180–200 feet.
