Description

Large deep-water specimen of Fasciolaria tulipa collected from 180 feet off the Dry Tortugas via lobster trap. Displays strong natural banding, attractive coloration, and solid form typical of deep-water Tortugas specimens.

Personally collected and professionally curated as part of the Tortugas Shell Collection, complete with full collection data. A desirable large Florida gastropod specimen suitable for serious collectors or display.

Please note there is a small chip on the outer lip consistent with normal trap wear from collection. This does not detract from the overall display value and is common for deep-water trap-collected specimens.
