This specimen of Luria cineria was personally collected by me during commercial lobster fishing operations in deep water off the Dry Tortugas.

While Luria cineria is widely distributed, properly documented Gulf of Mexico trap-collected examples with exact depth, vessel, and collection data are far less commonly available than general shell trade material.

This specimen displays:

• Smooth, even dorsal coloration

• Natural gloss

• Well-formed margins and teeth

• Balanced proportions

• Authentic deep-water Tortugas provenance

Documented field-collected material with full data retains long-term collector interest beyond decorative specimens.
