I am pleased to offer this attractive specimen of Macrocypraea zebra (Linnaeus, 1758), commonly known as the Zebra Cowrie. Measuring 65.2 mm, this specimen displays warm golden-brown coloration with a pale dorsal band and scattered white spotting characteristic of the species. The shell retains a glossy finish and strong visual appeal.

Collected by a diver in Key West, Florida, this specimen represents one of the Atlantic’s most recognizable cowries and is a great addition to any Florida or Caribbean collection.

Condition

A solid collector specimen with excellent gloss, attractive coloration, and well-developed dentition. The shell displays a pleasing pale dorsal band and good overall pattern contrast.

Minor natural wear and growth-related imperfections are present, including a small repaired area near the anterior end. Nothing distracting, and the shell presents very well for display.
