This Vokesimurex rubidus was personally collected by me while commercial lobster fishing in the Dry Tortugas, Florida. Recovered from a baited lobster trap set in 180–200 feet, this exceptional live-taken specimen retains its original operculum and displays outstanding sculpture, crisp varices, and rich orange coloration. A beautiful example of this attractive deep-water muricid for the serious collector.
