An absolutely massive and impressive Triplofusus giganteus (Kiener, 1840) from the waters of Key West, Florida.
At an incredible 419.1 mm, this giant specimen commands attention immediately and represents one of the most iconic large gastropods found in Florida waters. The shell displays a beautifully elongated siphonal canal, towering sculptured spire, and heavy mature body whorl with strong growth texture throughout.
Coloration consists of rich cream, tan, and orange banding with a deep glossy peach-orange aperture interior that contrasts beautifully against the exterior. The upper spire retains especially attractive orange coloration and layered spiral sculpture, giving the shell outstanding display presence from every angle.
This is a true centerpiece specimen — large, heavy, and visually dramatic, making it an outstanding addition to any advanced Florida shell collection or coastal display. The original operculum is included with the shell.
