Naria turdus Thrush Cowrie Dry Tortugas 26.1mm Deepwater

Beautiful Naria turdus personally collected from deep-water lobster traps in the Dry Tortugas, Florida. This specimen displays rich cream coloration covered with dense dark spotting and a glossy, well-preserved surface. The base is clean with strong teeth and excellent overall form.

 

A very attractive and desirable cowrie collected from 160–180 feet aboard the F/V AVA PILAR. Deep-water trap collected specimens from the Tortugas region continue to gain popularity among serious cowrie and Florida shell collectors.
