A beautiful matched pair of Volachlamys tranquebaria displaying an attractive combination of creamy white coloration and striking dark chocolate-brown markings. This lovely scallop features a well-developed fan-shaped structure, prominent radial ribs, and excellent natural contrast, making it a wonderful addition to any Pectinidae collection.
Both valves display their own distinctive characteristics, with one featuring scattered dark brown patches across a creamy white background, while the other exhibits bold, sweeping brown bands. The interiors are beautifully white with well-defined radial ribbing. Together, these contrasting valves create an attractive and interesting collector-quality matched pair.
