Calliostoma scalenum Quinn, 1992 – Pulley Ridge – 17.2 mm – TSC

A beautiful deep-water specimen of Calliostoma scalenum, a distinctive Gulf of Mexico top shell known for its sharply elevated conical profile, finely beaded spiral sculpture, and rich golden coloration.

This specimen displays exceptional golden-orange color with crisp, evenly developed beaded spiral cords covering the entire shell. The tall spire remains intact and well formed, while the base exhibits the species’ characteristic concentric sculpture. The vibrant coloration and strong sculptural detail make this an attractive representative of this sought-after deep-water species.
