Personally collected by me while commercial lobster fishing at Pulley Ridge, Dry Tortugas, Florida, this striking albino (all-white) Chicoreus riverai was recovered in January 2026 from a baited lobster trap set in 240–300 feet of water aboard my vessel, F/V AVA PILAR.
Completely lacking the typical pigmentation of the species, this specimen exhibits a pure white shell with a subtle cream-toned protoconch, making it a truly eye-catching and highly unusual color form. The intricate fronds, crisp varices, and exceptional sculpture are beautifully preserved, creating a dramatic display specimen. Albino examples of Chicoreus riverai are rarely encountered, making this an outstanding addition for collectors specializing in rare color forms or recently described species.
