Offered here is a beautiful Cinctura tortugana foxi described by Petuch & Berschauer (2022), measuring 87.0 mm, personally collected west of the Dry Tortugas, Florida, in 180–200 feet using baited commercial lobster traps aboard the F/V AVA PILAR.

This specimen displays exceptional natural coloration with rich cream, peach, and orange tones highlighted by crisp dark spiral bands. The pattern is bold and evenly distributed, giving this shell outstanding eye appeal. The aperture is clean and glossy with attractive pastel coloration, making this a very display-worthy specimen.

Condition

A very attractive F+ collector-quality specimen with excellent natural color, strong banding, glossy finish, and outstanding overall eye appeal. The shell has a small repaired/chipped area on the body whorl and a minor chip at the tip of the siphonal canal, both clearly visible in the photographs. These minor imperfections are reflected in the price and do not diminish the specimen’s display quality.
