Fasciolaria tulipa – 171.4 mm (6.75”) – Operculum – TSC #0874

A beautiful Fasciolaria tulipa displaying exceptional natural color, strong patterning, and an attractive glossy finish. This specimen features vivid orange flame markings over a creamy white background, a clean aperture, and comes complete with its original operculum. Personally collected while commercial lobstering west of the Dry Tortugas, this is an outstanding specimen for any serious Gulf of Mexico collection.

This specimen grades GEM, exhibiting outstanding gloss, crisp sculpture, vibrant natural coloration, and excellent overall symmetry. The aperture is exceptionally clean with a beautiful satin finish, the spire is intact, and the shell presents beautifully from every viewing angle. The original operculum is a nice bonus that completes the specimen.

Like most deep-water trap-collected specimens, extremely minor growth or handling marks may be present under close inspection but are insignificant and do not detract from its exceptional display quality. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description.
