I personally collected this beautiful Fasciolaria tulipa f. scheepmakeri while commercial lobster fishing on Pulley Ridge, west of the Dry Tortugas, Florida. Recovered from depths of 220–240 feet in baited lobster traps, this specimen displays the bold, contrasting chocolate-brown flame patterning and graceful elongated form that make this color form so desirable among Fasciolariidae collectors.
The shell exhibits rich coloration, an attractive glossy aperture, a well-proportioned spire, and a long intact siphonal canal. The pattern wraps beautifully around the entire shell, making it an outstanding display specimen from every angle.
