Measuring an impressive 203.45 mm (8.01 inches), this specimen is particularly noteworthy for its size, making it an excellent addition to a serious marine shell collection.
This beautiful specimen displays warm golden-orange, tan, and cream coloration with fine spiral sculpture and attractive natural banding. The elongated body whorl, beautifully developed elevated spire, and broad aperture with delicate pinkish-white interior give this shell outstanding visual appeal.
The scheepmakeri form is especially desirable for its distinctive appearance, and finding a specimen of this impressive size makes it even more interesting to collectors.
Personally collected during legal commercial lobster fishing operations aboard the F/V AVA PILAR in the deep waters surrounding the Dry Tortugas, Florida.

Fine Quality. Excellent overall presentation with beautiful natural golden coloration, nicely preserved elevated spire, strong shell structure, and an attractive broad aperture. Natural growth lines and minor surface imperfections are visible, consistent with a large, deep-water trap-collected specimen.
