Fasciolaria tulipa (Linnaeus, 1758) – TSC #0749FAS-TSC

I’m pleased to offer this exceptional specimen of Fasciolaria tulipa, personally collected while working my commercial lobster traps off Key West. Large, clean specimens from deep water with this level of color and preservation are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.

This shell displays an outstanding combination of brilliant orange and cream coloration with crisp spiral sculpture and an elongated siphonal canal. The body whorl is boldly patterned with vibrant flame-like markings that contrast beautifully against the lighter background, while the aperture exhibits soft peach and cream tones. The original operculum accompanies the specimen, adding to its desirability as a complete collector piece.

There is a small chip present on the outer lip, visible in the photographs. Aside from this minor imperfection, the specimen presents exceptionally well and would make an impressive addition to any advanced Florida or Gulf of Mexico collection.

Please review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description and accurately represent the specimen’s condition.
