Lindapecten muscosus – Matched Pair – 8.7 mm – Pulley Ridge, Dry Tortugas

This beautiful matched pair of Lindapecten muscosus displays an outstanding rich golden-yellow coloration with both valves remaining naturally paired. Collected from the deep waters of Pulley Ridge in the Dry Tortugas aboard my commercial lobster vessel, this miniature scallop is a wonderful example of the species. Tiny paired specimens with vibrant color like this are highly sought after by collectors of micro and deep-water pectinids.
