A striking matched pair of Lindapecten muscosus personally collected from the Dry Tortugas. This specimen displays an exceptionally vibrant golden-orange coloration with heavy nodulose sculpture covering both valves. The intense color saturation and crisp texture give this shell outstanding visual appeal, making it a desirable addition to any scallop collection.
The exterior is richly ornamented with pronounced radial ribs and well-developed scale-like sculpture, while the interior retains attractive golden tones fading into creamy white around the umbo. Specimens with this level of color and sculpture are especially eye-catching in display collections.
