Lindapecten muscosus (W. Wood, 1828) – Bright Lemon Yellow Matched Pair – 12.0 mm – TSC

A stunning matched pair of Lindapecten muscosus displaying an exceptionally vivid lemon-yellow coloration. Bright yellow specimens of this intensity are highly desirable among miniature scallop collectors, and this example exhibits remarkable color retention across both valves.

The exterior is covered with dense, delicate scale-like sculpture along the radial ribs, giving the shell a textured appearance that enhances its brilliant coloration. The interior presents soft creamy-white and pale yellow tones, creating an attractive contrast to the vibrant exterior. Despite its small size, this specimen has outstanding visual impact and would make an excellent addition to any specialized pectinid collection.
