Naria turdus – Thrush Cowrie – Dry Tortugas – 25.5mm

Beautiful Naria turdus personally collected from deep-water lobster traps in the Dry Tortugas, Florida. This specimen displays attractive dense spotting over a creamy tan dorsum along with a glossy finish and strong overall form. The base is clean and well developed with sharp teeth and a pleasing natural appearance.

 

A very desirable deep-water Thrush Cowrie collected from 160–180 feet aboard the F/V AVA PILAR. Specimens from the Tortugas region are highly sought after by collectors for their quality, locality, and authentic trap-collected provenance.
