A beautiful collector-quality specimen of Septa hepatica, displaying striking dark brown to nearly black spiral bands against rich golden-orange and creamy white coloration. This attractive Indo-Pacific species is especially appealing for its heavily sculptured shell, distinctive banding, and contrasting natural colors.
The shell features a well-developed pointed spire, prominent spiral cords, and strong varices decorated with alternating cream and brown markings. The beautifully patterned exterior is complemented by a thickened outer lip and a narrow aperture with an attractive warm interior. Excellent overall visual appeal and a wonderful addition to any Cymatiidae collection.
Collected by a local fisherman while diving at depths of 3–5 meters near Labuan Bajo, Sumbawa, Indonesia.
